1. The CALC subscription is paid annually by all members. It is made up of two payments, one to the Cumbria Association of Local Councils (CALC) and the other to the National Association of Local Councils (NALC).
2. The NALC and CALC portions of the subscription are itemised separately on the annual fee invoice.
3. The CALC subscription for each parish council is calculated in proportion to the cube root of its electorate and increases are agreed at the Annual General Meeting.
4. The NALC portion of the subscription fee is calculated on a per-capita basis and this is agreed annually by the NALC General Meeting.
5. The CALC subscription for parish meetings that raise a precept shall be determined annually by the General Meeting and these parish meetings also will be charged the NALC rate of membership.
The NALC subscription fee for 2023/24 will be 7.71p per Elector.
