All town and parish councils in Cumbria hold an election once every four years in May. South Lakeland District Council and Carlisle City Council hold their elections on a rolling programme.
All other parishes (Allerdale, Barrow, Copeland, and Eden) held elections in 2019 and will hold elections every fourth year.
